I’ve been intrigued with the idea of breaking in a guitar. What exactly is that & what difference does it make?
So I started looking into it, figured there might be something to it, and wondered how to do this to all of my guitars at once. That’s when I heard about “the speaker method” of breaking in guitars. Basically, this method involves playing music through a stereo at your guitars and letting them vibrate to the music. This lets the wood move in a similar way to what happens when the guitar gets played for real, speeding up the break-in process a little.
Then I figured, “what if I could just play the tones that a guitar needs to vibrate its strings instead of having full songs? wouldn’t that be more efficient and less noisy in the house?” So, I made an album of tracks to do just that. You can find it on the major streaming platforms by starting here: BreakingInGuitars.com.
Maybe it works, maybe not. I don’t see the downside in trying…
